Prediction of Lipoprotein and Secretory Signal Peptides in Gram-positive Bacteria with Hidden Markov Models

  • Only FASTA formatted sequences are accepted.
     
  • The user can submit one or more sequences (up to 500) at a time.

    • Output Information
  • The server predicts the type of the signal peptide (lipo=lipoprotein signal peptide, sig=secretory signal peptide), the presence of an N-terminal TM segment (TM) or the absence of any of the above.
     
  • In case of a signal peptide the cleavage site is indicated as the last position of the signal peptide
     
  • In case of single sequence submission, a graph of the posterior probabilities is also provided
