SEMESTER B

In order to complete the course, each student has to conduct a research project; topics are suggested by the Programme staff.

RESEARCH PROJECT
1. General

During the 3rd and the 4th semester, the students should conduct a Research Project, in order to complete their studies. In the start of the 2nd semester, the teaching staff are expected to make topic suggestions for projects they are willing to supervise.

2. Research Project Topics

The titles of the suggested Research Projects are consequently announced to the students. Each student should submit an application, stating their preferred topics. The supervisors are responsible for the Project assignments, although these should also be approved by the Coordinative Committee.

3. Presentation of the Research Project

After conclusion of the experimental part, the Project supervisor should state their approval for presentation of the final draft. The Coordinative Committee should then assign the evaluation of the Research Project to three members of the teaching staff, including the supervisor.

4. Evaluation

Evaluation of the student's performance is based on the Project presentation. A grade of 5/10 is the minimum acceptable. The judges may suggest continuation of the Project, in case the produced result is not sufficient. The Research Project may not last longer than 18 months; exceptions (e.g. for health reasons) are considered by the Coordinative Committee.
